Mona Group provide an end-to-end service for the erection of steel frame buildings for a diverse range of clients covering everything from hydro-electric power to manufacturing. We can provide the groundworks and foundations, as well as the design, fabrication and installation of the building framework to BS EN 1090 ensuring a timely delivery to even the most inaccessible locations.

Our in-house design and engineering team can design and fabricate all manner of steel structures required as part of major civil projects, from road and rail bridge beams and girders to pedestrian, cycle and foot bridges, to walkways, gantries and platforms required for maintenance access to bridges, dams and buildings. We provide an ongoing inspection and maintenance service for structural steel components, covering weld inspection and testing, non-destructive testing and coating testing and reporting, as well as providing maintenance services on swing and bascule bridges.

Lifting & handling

In addition to fabrication, Mona Group have decades of experience in all aspects of the lifting business. We provide the planning, expertise, equipment and personnel for the safe and controlled movement of large, heavy, or awkward objects. We routinely work alongside main contractors in major civil engineering projects to provide the lifting expertise of structural components for buildings or bridges, as well as provide lifting beams and systems to facilitate routine inspection of lifts, plant and machinery.

Our lifts are meticulously planned, adhere strictly to all industry guidelines and are executed by our own experienced personnel, according to detailed risk assessment, and are backed by £2m professional indemnity insurance.

For site work, all our site employees hold a Health and Safety Training Passport or equivalent; are trained in confined space operations, working at height and hold various plant operator licenses. Management members are IOSH / SSSTS / SMSTS trained in managing/working safely or have NEBOSH Health and Safety qualifications.
