Our operating focus is on minimising our environmental impact by managing risk, reducing consumption and waste, effective recycling, and working towards a process of continual improvement. We are committed to:

• Recycling all waste steel and metals
• Using local contractors for recycling all paper, cardboard and other recyclables
• Minimising the environmental impact of all our processes
• Utilising the 5S management policy for efficiency and safety

In addition, we have installed equipment specifically designed to minimise any environmental impact of our processes:

• Energy – we have installed 60KW of solar panels which help to reduce the electricity consumption from the grid. We have set our a roadmap to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
• Noise – ensuring our blasting shed is located to minimise noise pollution to the wider community
• Dust and Fume – our blast and spray booths feature dust recovery and extraction systems, and we are working on additional dust containment system to further reduce airborne dust

Mona Group are currently working with an external consultant to determine our carbon footprint, we have installed solar panels on our building, as well as EV charging points, and plan to install wind power generation at our facilities with a view to becoming carbon neutral.

Our management policies are subject to continual improvement, and are designed to promote effective health and safety and environmental management within the organisation encompassing our staff, contractors and clients.
