Bespoke fabrication, engineering and lifting solutions for water treatment facilities

Mona Group’s involvement with small and large hydro-electric energy projects has given us a vast experience in dealing with pipework and valves, as well as other equipment and structures required in water treatment plants.

Our fabrication and engineering department can design, weld and fit a range of pipework and vessels in steel, stainless steel or iron, and supply and install valves of various weights and sizes. We routinely attend existing installations and replace old valves, as well of providing a mobile blast cleaning and re-coating service for existing pipelines and pipework. We are also able to design and fabricate the walkways, bridges and access gantries required as part of the wider plant infrastructure.

Lifting & handling

Water treatment often presents lifting requirements, and we also specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, testing and examination of a wide range of pump lifting equipment where lifting is required as part of a regular maintenance and inspection routine. Our experienced team of design and site engineers work closely with our clients to select the most efficient, safe and compliant lifting solutions. Once installed we provide a back-up service of inspections, maintenance and repair.

With our in-house engineering department Mona Group are experts in the design and manufacture of bespoke lifting devices; including lifting beams, spreader beams and counter-balance beams. We also install and site-test lifting equipment and can prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements including Lift Plans which are generated by our Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) specific to our client’s needs.  We are LEEA full members.

For site work, all our site employees hold a Health and Safety Training Passport or equivalent; are trained in confined space operations, working at height and hold various plant operator licenses. Management members are IOSH / SSSTS / SMSTS trained in managing/working safely or have NEBOSH Health and Safety qualifications.
